Re: Recommended 60's music....
No bother mods4life, I could've worded it a bit better! I've got The Best of The Jetset Volumes One & Too - both excellent comps. Wednesday Girl was another great tune! You've put me in the mood for a bit of 60s/60s-influenced pop, so I've assembled a pile of CDs from the following artists:
The Monkees & The Jetset (obviously), Love Affair, Amen Corner, The Move, The Box Tops, Merry-Go-Round, Keith, The Lovin' Spoonful, The Herd, Sugarplum, The Mamas & The Papas, Strawberry Alarm Clock, Rinaldi Sings, Nirvana (UK), The Flower Pot Men, The Turtles, The Beach Boys, The Left Banke, Margo Guryan, Linus Of Hollywood, and Twice As Much.
I've also plucked out my Dee Walker CD and some Paul Bevoir solo stuff, which are Jetset related.
That's my Christmas soundtrack sorted out for this year! It years since I've listened to some of that stuff! It might be a bit too 'lite' for some but I love it!
--- Can you see the real me?

Re: Recommended 60's music....
To begin with are a few of my recommended UK artists LPs showcasing some of the finest early British R&B, in no particular order
Five Live Yardbirds - The Yardbirds
The Pretty Things - The Pretty Things
Georgie Fame and The Blue Flames - Rhythm and Blues at the Flamingo
Georgie Fame and The Blue Flames - Fame At Last
The Animals - The Animals
Them - The "Angry" Young Them
Bluesbreakers - John Mayall with Eric Clapton (aka the Beano LP)
Alexis Korner's Blues Incorporated - R & B from the Marquee
Kinks - Kinks
Graham Bond Organisation - The Sound of 65
Small Faces - Small Faces
In my humble opinion you won't go wrong with any of these classics
