up till which point was The Who mod ?
Just been watching 'The Kids Are Alright' dvd and it got me thinkin' - up till which point was The Who mod ? I know they are concided as a Pete Meaden manufactured mod band - but you cant beat that ol' b/w footage from ready ,steady,go and they looked pretty cool when they was in there pop art stage to but me question to ya is ............up till which point was The Who mod ?!!

The manager saw an oppertunity and took it but they were too late IMO to be classed as Mod , pop-art Mod !!!
Of course everybody,s opinion will differ  The High Numbers well emmmm or is that a different question

i got the kids are alright *genius!* i think the who were mod up until they got the keyboard player then they just became a supergroup and you cant really be a mod supergroup it doesnt work.
im seein the who in hyde park

How ridiculous it looked along with the bare chest clobber.

As Jay says the High numbers was their completely Mod period but I think they were "Mod" until 1965, then they became Mod influenced until 1967, when they got decidedly hippy and then...
"Mod Supergroup"? I thought that was The Steampacket with Long John Baldry, Rod stewart, Julie Driscoll and Brian Auger...
