Well perhaps if they can Jim McCarty and Chris Dreja can reform the Yardbirds then maybe the one surviving member can hire on Lenny Kravitz and reform the Jimi Hendrix Experience.

Actually, my band, The Shivers, got to open for the 'new' Yardbirds a few months back and they were spot on pretty good. They played mostly their classic songs and only a couple forgettable new tunes. I think the general belief that only 2 original members are left has soured their ticket sales. It was cool to talk to their new lead singer. He even made a comment about The Shivers being a mod/psych band. I am thankful!

oh! well if its Dreja and McCarty then at least thats 2/3 of the original and consistant line-up, shame theres no Relf. those three were the only constants in an ever changing line-up so I reckon they have the right to call themselves the yardbirds.

The Yardbirds got me into Bo Diddley, got me into Muddy Waters. Got me into the blues generally.
I'd go and see them even without Clapton and Page. Depends on the price of the ticket though.
