Re: i wonder if this will work..
Miss Kissy, point of order! Two of the best restaurants in London are near Whitechapel. For an expensive meal you have Cafe Spice Namaste in Prescott Street and as cheap as anything you have Lahore in Umberston Street. Fantastic!

Re: i wonder if this will work..
There are some pretty amazing restaurents in the most dingiest of places. James and I go to a Thai restaurent in Camden called "Taste of Siam" - very reasonable, the waitresses dress up in traditional clothing (Which is probably why he likes it!). Good food, great atmosphere and luckily the overspills from the local pubs seem to avoid it. Loads of sushi places...nice one in Fulham we go to which name escapes me, a fantastic argentinian steak house in hampstead and a nice greek restaurent off Regents Park Road in Primrose Hill. When we're feeling like we need some stodge, we go to a greasy cafe off Parkway run by an Italian family who do a nice fry up.

Kirrky maybe thats so, but i dont remeber the names because being from here and shadwell , cable street way i am used to the restaurants opening then being closed down and then re-opening under differnt names, this is a turn off in itself and seeing the crap left outside before they open and when they close. but dont hold this against me because this can be said about all restaurants i suppose (just have to watch Restaurants from hell to tell you that)

Re: i wonder if this will work..
I have ben going to Lahore in Umberston Street for 10 years Kissy, and it's great. Bring yer own booze and no Menu. Cheap as chips too. Top! For nice takeaways I go to Lahore 2 in Commercial Road which has also been there for years.. I don't do Brick lane though unless desperate. Cockroach city...
--- ooops!...... did I err???
