 Introduce Yourself!
Seeing as there are now a fair few of us (37 registered members ), I thought it might be an idea for all of us to do a brief introduction. Some of us do know each other, but I was thinking that it might put others off wanting to join if it becomes a little cliquey (which wouldn't be very nice now would it?!)
So, here's me:
My name's Lee, I'm 34:shootme: and I'm the resident 'Northern Monkey' in London  (From Leeds originally). I moved down to Catford 3 years ago, then lived in Fulham for 2 years and I now live in Thamesmead SE28 (which is about a mile East of Woolwich, just before you get to North Kent)
Oh, and I'm a mod:verycool:

My names Liza, I'm 33 and have been into the mod scene for 20 years now :verycool:
I have been living in Portsmouth in the deepest South for 10 years now but I am originally from the Midlands.

:rollineyes: can't forget my baby, a '77 Rally 200 which I have owned for the past 3 years.
I smoke too much, I drink too much but hey.............. life is for living!!

I'm Andy and I'm probably the most boring person on the forum cos I don't stop harking on about the band I used to be in back in the 80's called YEH-YEH (see! I'm doing it again!!!)
I'm 40, live in St Annes (next door to Blackpool), married, 2 kids, 2 cats, 3 goldfish and a dog.
Listen to Radio 2 all the time but if it's albums etc then it The Jam, The Vapors etc that get the most ear-time.

Im Jeff, I'm 38 and been doing this Mod thing for too long to mention (makes me feel old). I like heavy funk and RnB but I'm not too good with the Revival stuff except Secret Affair who I love. I work as a film extra and a painter and anywhere else I can grab a few quid. I live in East London and I have no pets....

Hmmm - I'm Mark, 33, and I used to be a college lecturer. Now I'm a full time writer of fiction. I've written lots of stuff, but the first novel with my real name on the front has only just come out.
I'm into revival sounds more that soul,love playing the guitar although I'm crap at it, and have a cat called Broomstick.

I've been a Mod since i was 9 thanks to my big bruvva! (Apart from a very small period in my life when i went round with long hair and wore black leather, but hey!)
I live in the Deepest South (Portsmouth, UK). Always have.
I get a buzz out of going out dressed in full Mod regalia and peoples heads turning.
I'm mates with Liza.
Got a red and blue PX125 with a T5 engine, kitted out with a 180 mallossi. Her name's Dolly, decked up to the headlights with mirrors, spots etc, and she's goyjuss!
When we met it was moydah!
I've been known to sink the odd Vodka or three, but really don't drink that much!
I love me Northern soul and gotta dance when i hear it!
I adore The Small Faces.
I write bits 'n' bobs in my spare time, lyrics 'n' stuff, and got 2 littlies who shall be called Stuart Little and Sis.
Gotta cat called Gizmo, and he's a pain in the nethers.

Hi
I'm called Jonny, I'm 31. I used to be an archeological scientist, now I'm involved in various community creative writing, poetry projects.
I've been into the mod thing, since I started playing in a band about 10 years ago, during the Britpop thing.
I still play in band and we used to be called Uptight, but now we haven't got name.
Apart from that, I'm addicted to collecting comics and I still have a go at writing plays. The Small Faces and The Animals, are my choice bands at the moment.

I'm 30, from Dublin but now live in Galway in the west of Ireland.
I work as an engineer for an American multinational medical device manufacturer.
I'm a mod since I was 13, got into through hearing a schoolfriends copy of Beat Boys in the Jet Age and have never looked backed.
My main musical interests are garage and freakbeat but also like bits of soul, some revival and RnB.

My name is Allan, 35, living in Bromley, Kent (originally from Watford)
Was a Mod many years ago...too many years ago and have been back on the scene for a year now...having a really good time too!
I ride a Vespa T5 Classic with a PM pipe, chromed, mirrored and spotted up to the nuts. Turns heads, it does (speshly when broken down in the pissing rain near Blackwall!) and I love the attention it gets me.....(should I be laying down on a couch?)
My musical taste is varied, but I have developed a preference for Northern Soul...the more I hear it, the more I like it!
Easy going, very friendly kinda guy...so dont listen to what some of the others on here might tell you!
