I get me soldiers mixed up.There was the Soldiers of Fortune I think they were Liverpool.The Virgin Soldiers were Surrey methinks.Seem to remember them from The Wooden Bridge in Guildford.Dont remember any names.

yeah they were from surrey, he lived in Addlestone , near woking, was NO.1 in the club if i remember. Someone i know was asking about him, hes a bit of a legend in the N.Ireland early mod scene ( 78/79 ish)

As has been said..saw them at the Wooden Bridge..also at the White Hart, Southall and occasionally The Dolphin, Kingston...definately a Scooterist club.

Yeah, I remember him but don't remember his real name. My school friend Jenny went out with him.
I lived in Walton, think he lived in Addlestone......rich kid I think? He was a great dancer, we used to go to the Wooden Bridge. Recon it was '84 ish?
Do you remember anyone else? Dave Charton? Mutely?
The Irons brothers? The Chessington contingent?

Hi,
Sarahwestneelindsay you have a good memory, i must know you but cant put a face to your name. The Irons brothers were jake(Martyn) and (ian )Irons.
Mutley now lives abroad as a Teacher !
Sadly Dave Charlton died a few years back.
The clubs been running again a good few years with quite a few of the old members back in the "saddle". we even got our old Number one back, Oris, who ran the club in the 80`s. Quite a few of the chessington boys are also back scootering with us.

Yep, went out with Geoff, and Dave Charlton......Mutley had a running gag about Geoff owing money for nicking his bird.....that never got old 😕
I met up with Jimmy Constantinou a few months ago (now of Posh Pawn tv fame). Mutley is outspokenly and vehemently gay (who saw that?) but still good value apparently.
Martin (?) owns a camping shop in Walton, Dave Charlton I knew again via a random connection in the late 80's after he came out of drug rehab, but sadly he started using again and died. I remember Horace with the glass eye, girlfriend Maria, she had a sister didn't she?
Just been watching the Northern Soul film and found this site again...hadn't seen any of the posts after I left mine. Glad to hear from you all.
