emoticon It's done, with one lesson learned, don't mix piaggio vespa with LML vespa parts, put my old LML fly wheel on and away we go.
Just finished gold leafing the head set and now starting the alterations to the murals.
Should be on the road for Camber, catch me if you can!! emoticon emoticon

I'm afraid you will have to take the petrol tank out to get to it. emoticon

The nut that holds the shocker on at the top is actually inside the bodywork.
To remove the shocker you will have take out the petrol tank. All the instructions are in the Haynes manual & it's really not too difficult.
If I remember correctly tho' the rubber is actually part of the shocker on a PX so you will need to replace the whole thing. emoticon

The last time I owned a Vespa was in 1987 (I think) so I could be wrong.I've had Lambrettas ever since,a lot less hassle. emoticon

no simpa. not that bad. the rear shock is in three parts for just such a problem. yes the petrel tank has to come out. but as you say no probs with that. just the 4 or so 13 mil headed bolts (standard) drop off the 13 mill nut. lift the body you may have to jet some one to compress the shock to clear the body. then unscrew the rubber from the extension. to replace the hole top part inc of extension is £4.44 from beedspeed. this is with out postage. reverse the spanering and bob is your billy. bejingo your a grease monkey. please remember to put all your nuts and bolts in a tim and keep it to hand. other wise when you put the lot back to gether you will not find the bits. WELL IF YOU ARE LIKE ME ANY HOW. any one tell me the key for looms on t5's as i have put my haynes bible down and cant find it.AND I AM NOT SODDING WELL JOKING EITHER. I REALLY DO NEED TO GET THE KEY FOR THE LOOM. HELP!!!!!! PLEASE

Let us know how you get on,or if you get stuck.
Like I said it was in the 80's when I last owned a Vespa so my knowledge is a bit rusty but I'll pass on anything that may be of help if I can. emoticon

if you drop an open end 13mm spanner on long nut on bottom of rubber shocker mount can remove the shocker without removing tank... it just unwinds from the rubber saves a long arduous job...
