Re: Clubs in the 80s.London
To me it was all about the Bush. I can't beleive the length of time we went there..I remeber when it shut for a short while and Tony moved up the road to the wheatsheaf, which was OK, but still nearly cried.
We always put are parkas and stood on the left behind where you paid to get in (later they moved this to the back) and everybody would be down on a Saturday night, there would be us (the interceptors) the Chosen Few, the Temptations (before they thought they could take on the world) and later on it the Immediate and the Paddington and going down on Sundays as well for Sneakers

Re: Clubs in the 80s.London
Yep Bush was great..was there almost without fail every Saturday and remember you lot always by the door,Steve Edwards always seemed to be wearing the same blue zipper jacket tho' i didn't know him then! And of course not forgetting the famous words uttered by T.C...D'yer know what...it's !@#$ hot in here! I was down there for the xmas 82 party night...the floor was swimming with that reddish brown liquid which was a mixture of spilt bear condensation and floor polish! I remember i had a lightish blue mohair suit on and was with Doreen then who was a scooter girl she was wearing one of those ski jumpers army greens and red feckin' dorothy shoes..nice! Anyway she had slipped on the floor but didn't wash her hands..i ended up with these two red hand prints on my arse..ruined my trousers,my mates thought it was hilarious of course but then they were scooter boys!

That was the only item of cloths Steve Edwards had!!! You probably know Kevin Roach (Vicky's Brother) who was at the time the only other Mod in the Immediate. How about Phil Graham being told he could'nt come into Sneekers in Jeans..going home getting changed into his pajamas and strolling in...Johnson did'nt know what to say.
