begining with p cant rember the name but the lead singer was called derek and it had 2 brothers they used to play at the gannet every month till it closed

Im not sure if this is the right thread thing to post this in, but the band i posted about before called "the dirty swans" are doing another gig, i truthfully recomend if you can come and see these lads, as the music they produce is truly amazing, they do a range of mod, mod revival and some new stuff (arctic monkeys).
If anyone is intrested this is the gig information:
Friday 13th October
7:30pm - ???
Bridgnorth Rugby Club, Shropshire
£2 on door fee
their will be other bands aswell so cant be so optemistic about them, but the dirty swans r a gem and if you can you should see them while their cheep i say if you need any more information PM me

Some promo for my own band...
I'm in a swedish mod powerpop combo, The Modesty, influenced by the usual Kinks, Small Faces, The Who, The Jam (and the other revivals) We're about to release our debut album this new year and a scooter musicvideo is about to be shoot in Hong Kong in November. We're also about to contribute with a track on the forthcoming mod/garage/powerpop compilation UpNorth Modernists (due to be release this autumn). Our record is being mixed by Christoffer Lundquist, a swedish wizkid who has been working with everything between Ed Harcourt and Roxette......
Since we manage our own label (together with a couple of other bands) we really would like to get in touch with likeminded people and bands all over the globe.

The Urges are feckin' ace. Got them added onto a US comp on Howitzer, top tunes. Saw them at the IPO in Liverpool too, they can't half shake it live too!
