Re: Recommended music from recent or current bands....
UK band wise I'd say Len Price 3, Freebooting Profiteers, Lost 45s, Bresslaws... apologies ter anyone missed but I'm sure it'll come ter me at a later date.
US I'd say the Insomniacs, Pills, HeadQuarters and garage wise Creatures Of The Golden Dawn and the Greenhornes... again there's more I'll remember later.
Elsewhere the Maharajas 2 albums are superb, the Indikation are ace, the Moving Sounds too and Spain's Phantom Keys are fantastic!
Anyone wanting a copy of the forum cd which is 90% current bands can pm me fer a free copy. I'm about 6 short of sending out 100 copies, so it cant be too bad!

Re: Recommended music from recent or current bands....
You've done a Cd Mark? Looks like I must have head my head up my arse to miss that one
My Favourite new stuff (which coincides loads with Mr G)
The Len Price 3, The Len Pice 3 and The Len Price 3. There are that good.
The Insomniacs, The Royal Purple, The Shake, The Phantom Keys, The Bresslaws, The Stoneage Hearts, The Lost 45s UK, The Green Circles, Long Tall Shorty, The Stabilisers (more pop punk), The Black Hollies, The Greenhornes, Jarvis Humby, The Woggles, The Gentleman Callers, The Epitones, The Rifles, The Clamour, The Harrisons, given more time the list would go on and on

Re: Recommended music from recent or current bands....
Favourite US bands are the Greenhornes, the Come Ons, the Woggles, Insomniacs and the Riots.
Fav British bands - woah, so many - but my CD player at the moment plays a lot of The Buff Medways, The Len Price 3, the Dirty Backbeats, Fay Hallam Trinity, Jarvis Humby, and obviously The Bresslaws (have to keep practising - one day I will remember all the words!). Also like what I hear of Omb and the Furious Tree, Freebooting Profiteers, and Lost 45's and will now get off my arse and buy their recordings! Sorry lads.
Bands from Europe - Blue Van, Hara-kee-rees, Trashmonkeys, Satelliters, Hives.
And I've no doubt missed out a load. Wow, there are so many great bands out there at the moment!
