Re: The future of Modrevival.net?
So, has anyone got the enthusiasm to take over from me then?

Guilty as charged for not making any attempt to bring anything to the forums - I promise i will make an effort in the future if you decide to keep it running.
Great forum by the way!

Re: The future of Modrevival.net?
Wow, it's a few years since I posted on here. I find I just don't get the same amount of time at work now.
However, I always check the site at least once every couple of weeks (it used to be every day) and the first thing I look at is Mod Events. I am far more interested in things going on which I can attend than commenting on which of any two Revival bands is the best.
I would love this site to continue but I have to admit to only using it as a notice board to show me what gigs are being held.
Chris.

Re: The future of Modrevival.net?
fcuk me, alright Chris? how's it going mate??? I've lost yer phone number fella, but drop me a text if you have mine.
As Bik says, lots of us have heard it all before. it's nice to see a bunch of new names though and good luck to you. I basically stopped taking much notice when they made Tracy a moderator and she turned the gig page into an advert for Page and DC, plus some other blokes. I once got told to have one thread and update it...
As Mudgee said though, some good people on here, so if somebody has a chance, keep it going. you can guarantee that the old gits will continue to pop in every now and then..just like me and Royal have.
Have fun...

Re: The future of Modrevival.net?
I think I read that the forums on modculture are going to be taken down, though the site itself will continue with a new makeover.
There is a lot more traffic there but most of the new threads appear to be people selling records or clothes, either that or repetitions of threads which have been done to death previously.
Perhaps the messageboards have had their day and the social network sites are where it's at now?

Yep, you're probably right Darren. I'm going to keep everything up and running until the end of April and then have a good look at site and forum statistics.
I may simply take the site and forums both down - better to go out like this than to die a slow horribe death eh?!

Re: The future of Modrevival.net?
.........would be a shame.....I dont do Facebook or Twitter.........so I find this site helpful for gigs and events......and also for the views of people I dont know......I can see your logic and it appears messageboards will soon be consigned to history, falling to the rise in social sites......once again,it would be a shame......

Re: The future of Modrevival.net?
Gary - Facebook is something I have only recently joined and to be honest I don't tend to check it from one week to the next. However, I tried adding you as a friend and it told me I couldn't as you already had too many friends! It must be nice to be popular!!!
