THE LIKE - all girl 60s retro band
Just discoved US all girl band The Like they are really fab very retro 60s lead singer looks like twiggy.

Good looking girls with a 60s (though not particularly mod) look and vibe but the songs are a bit too twee for my tastes. A bit Bangles sounding for my liking.
I wonder if their overall look and sound is down to the band themselves or some stylist/producer?

Yes I'am a bit, but just love the 60s style retro of the band, cool B/W vids(Hes not a boy' esp with the scoot,and yes the music catchy two,almost like female version of The Jetset?
They were formed in 2006 I think and looked very different then if you look at their early vids (had 2 new members since), going by their interviews do seem to really into the 60s and they said the bands stage wear stays between 64-65.

DollSquad started in 2005 and in 2006 they had their first ep our called 'retro dolls from hipville; and they looked even more sixties than the like do/did and also that dollsquad ep is neat cos they all had had code names with code professions aka spygirls this is something the like are only just doing now...but dollsquad are certainly not twee or gentle....check out the rock n doll sound here cos these women can play like hell for leather: www.myspace.com/theofficialdollsquad
