That would have been 78 mate as the film came out about a month before the 79 rally i believe
I went to the premier in London and i think that was july 79
They also recruited around Brighton and Hastings around early September 78 if my memory serves me right
My mate Rob Wren was lucky enough to get recruited. He still has his invite that was stuck to his scooter one day

Oh bloody hell ! That was a mad day if you was a mod living in Hastings. There was a MAG anti crash helmet run so the town was over run by bikers during the day and then at the gig there was a massive ruck with the Medway skins ....The Teenbeats were good though ...nuf said really !!!
