Invidia Scooters

Me and my mate are looking to buy a couple of scooters, preferably Lambrettas.
Has any one had any dealings with Invidia Scooters? They seem pretty reasonably priced and we dont want to buy a one that needs work or anything.
If anyones got any advice on models or were to buy from it would be appriciated.

I've got an eye on this company too. They look very good but want to hear some feedback as well before I would invest. They seem the best deal around for Thai/Indian restos.

Why not support your local dealer? So you'll pay a bit more, but you'll need someone local to keep your scoot on the road, and if everyone bought from Asia the local dealers would go bust.

Most scooter dealers these days seem to be into scooters themselves, so you'd be looking after your own.

Take your point Pete and its a good one. However, I would love to buy from my local dealer but the quote from the local dealer is an extra 2000 pounds. The difference in money for a lot of people is the difference in whether you have one or don't have one. You do not pay a bit more, you pay a lot more. And from what I read in Scootering there is many a complaint that the home market is inflated for classic scooters. If I get one here I would be more likely to go for a private sale and not from a local dealer so all the dealer would get would be my MOT's and maintenance which they would do anyway. Also it helps that one of the best scooter mechanics around happens to be in our band.

The prices people pay for classic scooters are ridiculous, but that's the price the market demands. The recession might force people to sell at a more reasonable price though.

Indeed market forces will dictate as they do everywhere else. Beware though Indian and Thai jobbies though... I've heard nothing but bad reports...

Couldn't he restore you one? Worst case scenario, you buy a restored scooter and it's crap. If it's bought outside this country, trading standards can't help you recoup your loses, chances are your mate's gonna have to restore it anyway.
