I think they are great. The lead singer is definatly a rock god in the making. A cross between Marc Bolan and freddy mercury. His stage presence is unbelievable. He reminds me of a friend of mine who sings in a band. I wont mention any names in case he gets to hear that I am comparing the 2.

Well, we can't all be open minded and willing to try new music out. I'm more than happy to enjoy the Darkness even if they are.......GULP......soooooooo un-mod.
And the comedy value is a big part of it. There are far too many bands/singers that take life and their work so seriously (sure i listen to them too) but its really, really refreshing and amusing to finally see a band in 2003 that don't fit in the serious "box". Who needs to be listening to angst ridden music 100% of the time?

You mean Jagger's not camp enough already? 
Can't wait for the darkness gig at Keele uni in october (to which i'm going). I've heard the lead singer, Justin, is walked through the crowd on the bassists shoulders and plays a guitar solo. Should be great!
