Re: Original Quadrophenia Album.
i personnally love the quadrophenia album and its great for us school pupils because it has a meaningful story which i think has encouraged alot of other kids like me to become mods and anyway its not as though the who were always a mod band they just went along with the music that was happening at the time if you get me

Teenage identity is a theme common to us all.

Fantastic! That comment literally sent a shiver down my spine. Because thats exactly what it did to me in 73!!
There have always been the arguments that they weren're real mods. But anyone who can produce this is pretty spot on in my book.

Re: Original Quadrophenia Album.
Anyone listening to Who in 1973/74 should be ashamed of themselves(f***** Rockers!) There was a small dancehall up north(Thats north of Watford gap!)just opening up, playing the cream of rare sixties soul music! No wonder it was the northern scooter clubs who had to provide the extras for Quadrophenia.

Saw a copy at a car boot sale in Romford yesterday. Going for £20, complete with booklet!

Err the 5.15 scooter club from Kent did as well.
Got any pics of the participants of this 'rare sixties soul music'club up north? Were they Mods or were they wearing flares and vests?
