Re: Original Quadrophenia Album.

Hey Gary, back in 1974 me and my mate dave wilson were both big WHO fans and went to brighton to relive the booklet,so we got pilled uped got a train down to brighton found the shop where he sits with one hand on the side of he's head, we found the shop in the main drag down from the station and both took turns of going in the shop and doing the pose !!...followed by a freezing cold comedown/sleep on the beach...but i would do it again anytime ;-))))

just to think i would be there years later getting nicked by the bill after the mini train bombing !!!

but i did get on the front page of the london evening news !!...happy day's !!

Is that the picture where loads of mods were held on a patch of grass on the seafront?

Did they make people take their shoes off or take their laces out?

I was tucked up in a Bed n Breakfast when all that happened and none of the band would talk to me the next morning cos they thought I'd been a pussy/showed dis-unity/let em down! emoticon emoticon emoticon

Queenstown Road in Battersea.

I'm sure my brother and me drove up there back in 1980 just to get that view of it.

Re: Original Quadrophenia Album.

on the 1980 tour, me and a mate from epping thought it would be a good idea to go down to see the Who in Brighton on our scooters. in principle this was a great idea...in practice, it was one of the worst nights of my life. before the M23, it took about three hours to get there and on the way home the temperature dropped to zero...!@#$
