Re: A couple of photos from 77 and 78

I think the issue might be that some of the incidents in the book (and was also the subject of an infamous roadies tale article in Sounds many years back)occured quite a few years ago and some of the behaviours, especially around the tours etc. really conformed to the 'rock and roll' lifestyle, as it was then in the early 80s, and wasnt my cup of tea (or involved in as by then I was with my own band and didnt really see the pair of them for a good few number of years - about 20 or 25 years or so!).. more than happy to have a chat about it the next time we all meet up...

Hope I came out alright out of the book! emoticon Got asked the other month by the bloke doing the film script(Al Hunter Ashton) if I was some sort of mercenary being a yid over West Ham! Had the same after the Congratulations youve just met.. book as well....

Did yer still go and watch Spurs while all the ICF stuff was going on Tom? Must've been a bit 'awkward' at times?

Mark

Stopped going over Spurs in 77, then started going over West Ham with my mates in 78 and everything started to revolve around the music (mod revival then Rejects)..

You're mentioned a few times but nothing too incriminating emoticon Liked your quote in the "tonik suit incident" - 'you're not skinheads, you're just glue sniffers with a crop".
As for the rock n roll antics, the band were all very young and easily manipulated, I think. Interesting news about Al Hunter Ashton being involved in a film - Alive & Kicking (the TV film about the junkie football team) is one of my favourites. Didn't he used to be a probation officer?
So when's your book out then Tom?

As you probably know, I'm a journalist. Up to now I've always worked on newspapers/magazines but I've recently had an idea for a book on that era which might interest you. But I think you could probably fill a book on your own, so I'd go ahead with it if I were you. emoticon
