Well Freakbeat overlaps Psyche and the borders are not exactly well defined.But I would say 'Fathers Name' was Freakbeat because it follows the normal patterns and Rules of a song where as Pychedelic Rock has no ‘Rules’ .Freakbeat occupies the position between 60s R&B scene and Psyche.A typical Freakbeat song follows a normal ‘pattern’- verse/chorus etc but uses Fuzz/distortion/phasing to create a ‘freakier sound’ so a band like Creation with ‘Painter Man’are Freakbeat.
Psychedelic Rock (or Psyche) is Rock inspired by dope and trips that creates a druggy/drousy feeling in a song that does not follow a normal song pattern.
IMO.
