Swirly's - 60's or MOD?

I think swirly's are more 60's than 'Mods'.
Mod is clean, smart and sharp!
Swirly's are none of these, so how come they think they are under the 'Mod' banner?
The clothes some of them wear is an absolute insult to the word 'Mod'.
This is all my opinion and I'm sticking to it!

Swirly's - Mod. NOT A CHANCE! emoticon

I think Swirlies are either 'late 60's style' mods - if there is such a thing?! Or, they're really just 60's enhusiasts.. (that dig Austin Powers man!) emoticon

That's the bit that always makes me laugh. Every time I'm at a do chatting with other male mods, they *all* say the same thing when a swirly girl walks past! emoticon

I take it they wear belts as opposed to skirts. Typical.

Not the case at all ladyredloafers, yeah they wear clothes to accentuate their figures, but (for me anyway) its the whole image that I like. Its not all short skirts and go go boots.

The thing that confuses me is that if a girl turns up at a Do dressed in an Op Art dress, and go go boots, she is immediately refered to as a 'Mod' girl.
If a guy wears clothes from *exactly* the same era, he is called a 'swirly'!

Therefore, swirly = Mod

Agree or disagree?

Disagree! emoticon
You can tell a swirly or late 60's influenced girl from a mod easily!

I agree, you can tell the difference.

It was a shame there were hardly any Mod girls at Modstock [sign in to see URL] fact, I only remember seeing the one!
