Yep, I think I *might* have heard a couple of their tracks! 'Friday On My Mind' was also covered by mid 80's mod pop group The Gents.

Re: The easybeats Aussie 60's mod band
I wouldn't have described them as a Mod band but 'Friday on my mind' was an extremely good 60's pop hit. And then there's the AC/DC connection.....
..... for those about to ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOCCCCCCKKKKK!

Re: The easybeats Aussie 60's mod band
Yeah the Easybeats were very cool. 'Sorry' is a class tune. And Jeff sir yer of course 100% right with the AC/DC tag - twas the Young family. Older brother of Malcolm and Angus?
There's been some great Aussie mod bands. Loads of 60s beat stuff, with mad covers including the Jimmy Fraser Of Hopes And Dreams And Tombstones and more recently bands like You Am I. A lot of serious garage stuff too. Stems, Hoodoo Gurus, Lime Spiders and loadsssssssssss........
Apologies fer anyone who read my unedited post, I came across as a little bit of an arsehole. Of course as yer all know by now I'm a big arsehole. Fer those of yer who didn't and haven't got a clue what the feck I'm on about, er....yer ain't seen me roit!? I was tired and well, erm....just say no kids.

Easybeats also did "She's so fine" - fantastic slice of 60's pop with a twist of beat!
3 minutes of loveliness!
