So long ago but I think the reason Mark's mum got the tickets was because of the demand, you had to be there at a certain time to get them. Mark was working and his mum was just such a lovely woman that it would not have been a problem for her, but I still smile to myself at the image of his little mum asking for the tickets. Rest her soul. Sewing, Mark can tell you all about that. I throw things away before I sew, but him. He weaves a mean needle. Lost count of the amount of fur he's stitched on our parkas and still does for others, sews the patches on too. Infact after he recently did yet another parka job, we emailed our friends to tell them it was ready and headed the email Parka Productions of C.I.lol. One of our mates had his fox tail nicked a while back off his scooter and Mark was to the rescue making him a new one. He also alters all our eldest grandaughter's clothes, shes 13yrs old and sooo into fashion, but she is very very tiny and everything swamps her, but her Pappy keeps her looking the best.H

Going to bed in a minute but before I go, nice to here from you Markg. I know I speak for Mark and myself when I say we are trully glad that we spent our teens in the 60s. It was a very exciting time. As for Mark's mum and the tickets, don't forget these were the days before credit card phone bookings and online bookings! If you wanted good seats, you usually went and got them. Mark's family lived about ten mins. away on the bus from the Finsbury Astoria, and to be honest they wern't they only tickets she got for us. His dad was a diamond too, but thats another time. night all.H

Hi again Markg.....As far as memory allows....The Beatles, Gino Washington and the Ram Jam Band, Lee Dorcey, The Who (Mark only),they were/still are, Mark's bag, The Foundations, THE SMALL FACES, oh sorry did I already say?,Otis Redding MY soul idol was/is, Sam & Dave..."Don't ya know the twins y'all..."(three times) Arthur Connelly, just 17yrs old when Otis brought him over, WHAT a BIG voice !!(twice) Stevie Wonder (three times), Joe Tex (twice), Eddie Floyd, Carla Thomas, Percy Sledge, The Four Tops, Georgie Fame and The Blue Flames, Plus other artistes who made it in their own right like Cilla Black, The Searchers, Freddie and The Dreamers,Swinging Blue Jeans. Later on down the years we have been to various concerts, seen Edwin Starr, Stylistics, Temptations and quite a few Rod Stewart/Faces concerts, although I would not go anywhere near him at first...how dare he replace AND try to sound like Stevie!! but Mark loved his voice and manner and went a couple of times without me to see him. He finally convinced me that Steve had been leaving the band anyway and that Rod was a performer worth seeing. I went along -reluctantly-one time and have been hooked ever since. Mark's cousin was the long-haired John Lennon lookielikie bass guitarist in Mungo Jerry and he got us VIP tickets to see Barry White, what a performer! we still go to concerts when finances/time etc allows.I was heavily into the Moody Blues in the 60s but didn't get to see them till years later, for the first time. They are brilliant. We went to see The Who in 1999 on their The Kids Are Alright tour too. As for allnighters, me never. Mark used to do the weekend allnighters at Tiles etc in London, but I was never allowed. I was younger. H
