You haven't been to East St. Louis or Camden New Jersey my friend. Camden is so bad they resorted to use air raid sirens at a specific hour of the evening to clear kids off the streets or they would be arrested on the spot. To top it off, one year they had a mystery sludge coming from out of the sewers onto the street.

Nice one Andy. Sums up Thatcher's Britain. And so little has changed. In one sense its optimistic - with the stuff about pensions recently the line "And give the old their just support" may not be true for very long!!
In comparison with the other comments here living in windy Nottingham seems like a bed of roses! Decent record stores, music venues, clothes shops etc. But everyone still slags it off. Normal I suppose.

Went to a wedding in strood once, well thats almost chatham. They even say on the chat for out of work, says it all, god i'm related to these ppl

Telford is best viewed "back-to-front" like in a mirror, infact a rear view/headset mirror!!
Bloody s**thole, one horse town, and that was shot in the early 70's i read somewhere.
telford has a slogan on the signs as you enter, check them out if you don't believe me;
