It's a fairly easy job but you will need fork spring compressors.
Simpa.
Don't try to do it without the forkspring compressors. It can be done with 2 ring spanners but you run the risk of bending the guides.

Micks tech tip of the day...if it don't work hit it with a big hammer and get someone else to fix it,it's a lot less bother than spending half yer life in the garage rebuilding the sodding things..believe me!

Re: How would you feel about a mechanical help thread everybody???
Can any one help me, I have just put a P.M. Tuned engine in to my LML,so rather than scratch my head over the wiring differences between LML & Piaggio I put the old LML stator plate in at exactly the same position as the old Piaggio one, all was fine, nice blue spark but no ignition There seems to be very little fuel getting in to the Barrel as every time I try to start it the plug seems very dry and with a 28mm carb you would expect the plug to be soaking. I am a bit confused as when I bled the petrol line there seems to be air bubbles in the line constantly , maybe this is normal or may be this is the filter basin on the petrol tank that is fitted to my LML please help, some one please help!

Re: How would you feel about a mechanical help thread everybody???
Hello Anton ..maybe best to ask PM!...but were you running a standard engine in it before...it might be that the the fuel tap /filter is restricting the fuel flow as it was set up for standard use and now it cant match up to the increased air flow/compression?

Re: How would you feel about a mechanical help thread everybody???
Also sorry I didn't get back about the spray work but I was trying to get the number of the guy, I still haven't got it but he will do a whole lambretta for £500 and they look brilliant, but there is also another guy near me who normaly custom sprays mountain bikes and he can do the business on a scooter, stove enameling powder coating and two pack in all finishes as soon as I get details I will post them up. if you have the paint for your mud guard etc and just want a blow over p.m. me and i can do it as I have full spray equipment in my garage ( if you want to see my work look at Chris Brattons scooter or NORTHERN SOUL or SOUL SEDUCTION etc)
