Good question Simpa.

The bodywork was stripped and repainted in 2003, along with an engine rebuild, but I'm not sure if the forks were done as well (the work was carried oput by a dealer with little input from me). I suspect that they were not.

Is it an easy job? Special tools required?? It's the only thing wrong with the scoot and it's bloomin' annoying!!

It's a fairly easy job but you will need fork spring compressors.

The reason they are squeaking will be because the grease that is packed in will most probably of dried out or vanished altogether or the springs may need replacing.

Hope this helps.
