Vespa GS
Just thought I'd mention that I've always wanted one - they are defniately the coolest scoot ever.
I had an Li when I was a kid, but now I can't drive any more legally so I'm stuck with never having had my dream machine...
Oh well...

Re: Vespa GS
The thuoght of Mim ridnig a scooter is pretty scary. She's scary enough behind the wheel of a car!
My intention is to earn so much money that I can buy a white elephant like a GS I'll never drive. I'll just spend my time 'tinkering' with it and doing it up as a classic 60s mod scoot.
'tis a dream I have...

Re: Vespa GS
Arkmast how did you rate the LI? Its just that I am desperate to get a Lammy at the moment unfortunately the SX and the TV are way out of my range!! I am gonna keep my rally totally standard but totally "mod" up the lammy.
Anyone else got any advise about the LI150?

Re: Vespa GS
I had a S3 LI125 for a few months and had no problems at all with her.
Okay, so I didnt do many miles on her, and she had been kitted to a 175, but even so, she was a good scoot and reached 60 with out much effort
In fact...if she hadn't been painted yellow and green I would probably have her still today
There's a few about right now, obviously depending on what you want to pay will dictate the state of it. Check out Scooter Trader to get a feel of what you can pick up.
You going to restore it or do you want it on the road now??
(There's one for sale in a car dealers down the road from me......old English white and pale blue, twin seats, fly screen. I keep stopping to have a look at it....1,500 tho. I would love a Lammy, but not the best time to buy at the minute.)
A classic looking scooter, and its entirely up to you what you want to do with the engine.

Re: Vespa GS
Mini, I don't think I would pay 50 for T5's scoot!
Probably get done over if it was seen in the street anyway!
I havn't seen that one in allstyles, I'll go take a look over the weekend.
To be honest Clanger I want one that I can ride now tho i'm not bothered if it is a bit tatty.
I really need to get my rally done up so once that is done, I could do up the lammy.
Seen one in this months scootering for 950 but u can bet its gone now or the person lives as far North as you can go!!
I'll just keep my eyes peeled, will have to be a 150 tho as the 125 would be toooo slow.
