Invariably these have been discovered on OV. Just been reading this thread and this point made by clanger makes perfect sense and if any of the moaners (who are mostly wearing blinkers) read it and take it in it should shut them all up. Most of us old farts like all the other types of black music that are played on the scene but prefer to progress(YES progress) and listen to newly discovered sounds as long as it stems from R&B, and Louis Jordan certainly does. He was definitely never a cowboy. nondisclosed_email@example.com (jkvinyl)Tue, 21 Feb 2012 01:49:26 +0000 Re: OVO - Original Vinyl Only.https://bmodrevivalforums.runboard.com/p225603,from=rss#post225603https://bmodrevivalforums.runboard.com/p225603,from=rss#post225603quote:Jeffthefish wrote: Well I think DTrain "you're the one for me" is a great tune.... If you are a collector you should surely have enough records to do this? The only times that a double play is viable IMO is if a) the punters ask for it or b) if it wasn't heard the first time (maybe played when the venue was filling up...) nondisclosed_email@example.com (Jeffthefish)Thu, 21 May 2009 07:37:22 +0000 Re: OVO - Original Vinyl Only.https://bmodrevivalforums.runboard.com/p225373,from=rss#post225373https://bmodrevivalforums.runboard.com/p225373,from=rss#post225373I think in short. IMHO Collect what you want : mp3, CD, copy vinyl or the real deal, if you DJ politeness would say, don't play a pressing of a record, if one of the other DJs has the real one, as he has spent hard earned cash and probably lots of it on this holy grail. But who loses or gains from boots or issues, is there any royalty's lost or gained? If I want a penny black I will print one off from google images, because that is not my passion. I DJ with only the real deal, but that has not always been the case, but this is only a choice I have made because it is my passion. I and many others have danced to many tracks passionately over the years, and I am sure thousands have been pressings but I didn't instantly vaporise, I know that even the wondrous Wigan Casino had many Boots played. What will really pee the collectors off is the fact that it is almost certain that there are some exact copy's flying around the scene being produced in japan, as with todays technology it is far easier to produce a copy of a mega bucks record than an antique, AAAAaagh check your records!!!!!nondisclosed_email@example.com (Soulie)Wed, 20 May 2009 21:35:35 +0000 Re: OVO - Original Vinyl Only.https://bmodrevivalforums.runboard.com/p225342,from=rss#post225342https://bmodrevivalforums.runboard.com/p225342,from=rss#post225342quote:clanger wrote: quote:painttherain wrote: lol you lot you sound more northan soull scene than mod !!
