Only Slightly bored after reading that..Alvin I 4 got all about him I have 'Red Dress' somewhere I must pull that out and give it a spin,still have the badge you know,anytime you'd like to see it pop round.

Jet are NOT reminiscent of Status Quo mate or I would hate em.
Rather more like The Who/Rolling Stones methinks in the same way that the libertines remind me of The kinks.Its just a sound that grabs ya dont yer think?

U all missed the point didn't you I was using Elvis as a ref, I'm not a Mod, but I was, and I like other bands as well as the Mod bands,and from what I know of you so did you !,the point was just cos your'e a Mod the Blinkers don't have to be set on a strict Mod band diet..Do they ??,if they do then I'm glad to say I like alott of Other stuff as well as the Mod stuff I'm into, I'm not a Mod but I like Mod stuff asw ell,,Get it..
God save Jet/Libetines and all those bands..

Got to agree with Tracey, Jet and The Libertines and a few others are reminiscent of the stones and that energy fuelled Brit RnB thang, Its important to look to future music as much as it is to look back or sideways. i like to see where the bloodline of the original black blues musicians takes us, whether it's mod or not. A TUNE, IS A TUNE.
We get into a band, say, the Stones, we like em so we look at their influences, cool, so thats what inspired them, and we dig that. Black American RnB, we look at what inspired them and we see The Blues, cool, we dig that as well. So why then, can't we look forward to see where it is now, and dig that as well. I DO anyway. Incidently check out 22 20's and Razorlitght.
